In between.

And so ends my first semester at RISD.

Finals for all of my studios have just finished, with only an art history exam left to take care of. I've enjoyed it quite a bit, and feel that I have progressed a lot--on both technical and conceptual grounds. I feel that I'm thinking about my work much more seriously. But as much as I enjoyed the first semester of foundation year, I find that all I want to do now is paint.

That's coming soon enough, I suppose.

Time for a vacation, and time to photograph work and update this blog, which, as of yet, has none of my student work. And then finally, time for wintersession, and Painting from Observation.

In the meantime, though, a William Eggleston reverie:
